Postdoctoral/Visiting Fellow Position available in Chemistry Department
Mon, 02/20/2017 - 9:14amThe Department of chemistry, University of Louisiana at Lafayette has an opening for a highly motivated independent researcher, for a postdoctoral/visiting fellow position in organic/organometallic synthesis.
This is one-year appointment, renewable on satisfactory job performance and the availability of funds. The position is available as soon as possible.
Candidate must have a Ph.D. in organic/organometallic chemistry. The candidate MUST have experience in asymmetric synthesis evidenced by published work. Experience with analytical tools such as NMR, HPLC, Polarimeter, GC-MS, and UV-Vis is required. Good written and verbal communication skills in English are essential. The aim of the project is to develop novel catalytic systems for the asymmetric synthesis of chiral amines and related compounds. The successful applicant will be responsible for organizing results, supervising undergraduates, and writing reports in the form of publications.
